If the Chinese were using it to make beer and Roman soldiers ate it as porridge or bread in its travels, the privileged classes of the Middle Ages to the preferred consumption of barley.

the infant cereals quinoaWe talked about the two most commonly used gluten-free cereal in our environment and are ideal to start with feeding babies complentaria, rice and maize. Today we will talk of another product very similar to cereals, as is generally seen as such and its nutritional qualities than for its rich protein and its composition rich in micronutrients, quinoa.

The gluten-free cereal flours should be the only ones that we offer to our baby until she was seven months old at least, but will also be a staple food throughout their lives.

On the other hand, and contradicting what is stated in the preceding paragraph, the main danger of transgenic crops is the increased use of toxic substances in agriculture, genetic pollution, soil pollution, biodiversity loss. I think another simple example will clarify the why, now we are a chemical industry, which funds genetic research on food and we have two options: to investigate pest-resistant food or we can fund research on pesticide-resistant food. Obviously from a business point of view will investigate the option to create pesticide-resistant food and can spray the fields killing all pests and threats in the food spoil.

Are bacteria that are part of the intestinal flora of each and that help digest food and fight harmful bacteria (which can cause diarrhea). Generally speaking they are capable of restoring the balance of intestinal flora if due to a deficiency in the immune system or taking antibiotics it is altered.

The lactic bacteria constitute the majority of probiotics and consisting of Lactobacillus, Streptococcus and Bifidobacterium. Today we can find probiotics in the market in different ways: in yogurt or fermented milk products, in capsule form containing lyophilized lactic bacteria, and more ways.

orangesOrange is often synonymous with winter colds and flus. Therefore, we wanted to publish a post on a seasonal food such as oranges, high consumption which can not prevent colds, but may have beneficial effects against gravity and the duration of symptoms.

The orange contains an exceptional amount of vitamin C in addition to other biologically active compounds that have various health claims. The effect of this vitamin in our body is primarily an antioxidant, but also contributes to the health of bones, teeth, etc … would enhance the absorption of iron-containing plants and protect against infections.
